About NYU Toastmasters

The mission of Toastmasters is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

NYU Toastmasters is a closed club. Only NYU-affiliated people (current and former staff, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and alumni) are eligible to join.

You must be a member to present speeches but guests are always welcome to attend meetings and fill other roles. Feel free to stop by – we love meeting new people!

Meetings take place on the first and third Thursday of the month from 5:15 to 6:15pm at 105 East 17th Street, room 191.

Meetings also take place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 12:00 to 1pm at the Kauffman Management Center at 44 West 4th Street, room 3-55.

There are no meetings on the 5th Thursday of any given month, or on major holidays.

    • Hi Sepideh,

      We actually just began letting in current students. I’m not sure if you’re on campus this summer, but if you are, feel free to come to one of our meetings in June or July. Otherwise, we’d love to have you come by when you’re back in the fall. Thanks!
